Here’s what you need to know about adding games to GeForce Experience on Windows.
What Games Does GeForce Experience Support?
Before you attempt to include games in the GeForce Experience list, you should check if the app supports them. Here’s a list of games you can add to GeForce Experience.
If your game is not on the list, don’t fret; you can check our guides on how to fix low FPS on Windows and ways to improve gaming performance on your laptop for other ways to optimize games.
How Do I Add a Game to GeForce Experience?
Before proceeding, if you don’t have it already installed on your computer, download and install GeForce Experience. Next, open the program and click on the three horizontal dots in the top right corner. Then, select Scan for games & apps in the menu.
GeForce Experience will then show you a list of the games and apps it has found and can optimize for you.
If a game or app has a green checkmark in its top left corner, it means GeForce Experience has already optimized it. If not, click the three horizontal dots in the top right corner and select Optimize all games and apps.
To launch a game using GeForce Experience’s optimized settings, hover over it with your mouse pointer and click Launch.
Now you can enjoy a smoother gaming experience.
GeForce Experience Didn’t Find My Game… Now What?
If GeForce Experience didn’t include a game on your computer that you know it supports, it could be that it didn’t scan its folder. You can easily add the game’s folder to the scan list by clicking on Settings – the gear icon next to your username – in the top menu. On the left side menu, select Games & Apps.
In the Scan Location section, click Add in the bottom right corner. Find the folder where the game is installed on your PC, and then click on Select Folder to add it to the list of scan locations.
Once done, you’ll see the folder appear in the list of scan locations. Then, click Scan Now so GeForce Experience can perform the search again with the newly-added location included.
Automatic Game Optimization With GeForce Experience
Automatically optimizing a game’s performance when using an NVIDIA graphics card is easy. You just add it to GeForce Experience, optimize it with a single click, and then launch it from within the program. Hopefully, you should see some improvement and enjoy a smoother gaming experience.
