What If My Smart TV Doesn’t Support the Disney+ App?

If your smart TV is an older model that doesn’t support the Disney+ app, you might still be able to stream Disney Plus. Your best options for streaming Disney content are external streaming devices and casting.

Streaming Devices: Most streaming devices such as the Roku or Chromecast can access Disney+. You’ll need to add the app to the streaming device (for example, you can watch Disney+ on AppleTV), then watch it through the streaming device. Casting or Mirroring: Casting (or mirroring) sends streaming video wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or computer to your television. If you’re an iOS user, you can use AirPlay to mirror your screen to some televisions. If you’re an Android user, you may be able to cast to a TV through an app (such as the one that Samsung offers), or you may need to cast from your device to a Chromecast device.
