Your Multiple Uber Stop Questions Answered
Uber is an all-in-one transportation service you can use straight from your smartphone or desktop. Whether it’s a one-time ride, a round-trip, or a trip with multiple destinations, your Uber driver can meet your needs. When scheduling multiple stops on your Uber app or your desktop, it can be confusing to understand the ins and outs. Here are some of the most common questions about scheduling multiple stops and their answers.
Can Uber Make Multiple Stops?
With Uber, you can add up to two additional stops for your trip. If you need to pick up and drop off a friend, this is the perfect way to do so, all while getting where you need to go too.
When Can You Add Extra Stops?
You can add multiple stops with Uber either before your trip or during your trip. You can easily add, change, or remove additional stops while on the go.
How Much Do Multiple Stops Cost?
According to Uber, your fare will automatically adjust based on your trip details. This means, as you remove or add stops, your fare will adjust accordingly. These rates are based on time and distance.
You can also use the split fare feature to split the cost between you and a friend, making it easy to share the cost of your ride.
How to Add a Stop on Uber Before Your Trip
Adding multiple stops to your Uber trip before you go or while on the go is easy using the Uber app. Download the app to your smartphone and create an account. Once your account is created, you’ll be ready to book your first trip. If you’re a returning user, you’re already ready to go. Stops will be made in the order they’re added.
Open the Uber app on your smartphone. In the Where to box, enter your destination. As you add your final destination, tap the Plus (+) to the right of the Where to box, and the Add a Stop box will appear. Remember to keep your stops to three minutes or less as a courtesy for your driver’s time. If it takes longer than this, your fare may change to accommodate. Enter your stops as you would your destination; you can add up to two additional stops to your trip. Once you’ve added your stops, tap Done at the bottom of your screen to continue booking your trip. Once you’re done, tap Confirm at the bottom of the screen to confirm your Uber ride. Be sure to add your payment method to the Uber app prior to booking your trip. If you don’t, you’ll be asked to do so before you can confirm your trip. You’re done! To remove a stop, tap the X next to it.
How to Add Multiple Uber Stops During Your Trip
If you decide to add a stop while traveling with a driver, you can do so on the Uber app’s homepage. Here, you can add, change, or remove a stop using your on-trip screen, which appears as you travel.
You don’t have to worry about notifying your Uber driver of your stop addition or removal. The route is automatically updated for them, giving you a smooth trip to your destination.
